Tam O’Shan

Hey, nea, ooh, e-rah,

You were too curious weren’t you, watching the witches dance; now the Devils on your tail.
The old stone church bathed in moonlight may have seemed harmless enough.
Now midnight shadows like morbid fingers race across the ground.
How long can you run?
You know there will be no mercy, she’s coming for the salt in your tears.

Hey, nea, ooh, e-rah,

Tam O’Shan you fool.
Too many drinks, forsaken and lust.
Your nice warm bed traded for what.
The taste of blood in your throat.
That’s right, you are free to run but now run you must.

Hey, nea, ooh, e-rah,

The crisp cool air of night hovering still.
Breathing underwater and galloping hooves are all you hear.
The bridge is near but not near enough.
The raven’s watch and know your mind.
Your horse is fast with fright, but you will never out run yourself.

The witches have your horse’s tail.
You may have slipped into the night but the Devil will wait inside.
You will fall again, count the times.
You get what you give though shattered still the mirrors reflection never lies.
Tam O’Shan, undone and ruined, you have made the night.
Will you change your ways or will Sticky Jack take the pot?
